What do we call that thing at the bottom of our kitchen sink that is used to strain the drain?

You know, the think with the holes in it that we pull out and use to throw the bits of food in the trash. I don't think we call it a "drain strainer", so what *do* we call it?

A strainer, would you believe?

    Grease traps are only needed in commercial laundromats and kitchens. In a house you get way more grease going down the toilet, and an occasional tank pumping will take care of that.
